Clyde Foods Policies

Cookie & Site Technology Policy

A plain-English explanation of what the site currently stores in your browser and what it does not.

Effective October 4, 2026

The short version.

Clyde Foods does not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or behavioral-session tools. We use cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics / Real User Measurements (RUM) to measure page views and website performance, one local-storage value to remember that you dismissed the privacy notice, and necessary infrastructure and security technology to deliver and protect the site.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data a website or service can ask your browser to store. Websites can also use related browser-storage technologies, such as local storage, for similar limited purposes.

What Clyde Foods currently uses

Privacy-notice preference

When you select Got it on the Clyde Foods privacy notice, the website stores a local browser value named clyde-cookie-notice-dismissed-v1. Its only purpose is to keep the same notice from appearing on every page view. It does not contain your name, email address, IP address, or advertising identifier.

Cloudflare Web Analytics / Real User Measurements

Cloudflare automatically injects a JavaScript performance beacon from static.cloudflareinsights.com and receives measurements through the site's /cdn-cgi/rum endpoint. Clyde Foods uses the resulting aggregate page-view and performance information, including Core Web Vitals, to understand whether the website is working well.

Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as privacy-first and cookie-free. Cloudflare states that it does not use visitors' personal data, track individual users across its customers' sites, or store client-side identifiers for this service. Clyde Foods does not use it for advertising, retargeting, session replay, or cross-site behavioral profiles.

Necessary infrastructure, traffic analytics, and security technology

Clyde Foods uses Cloudflare to host, deliver, protect, and measure the website. Cloudflare processes request and network metadata for traffic analytics, security, traffic management, abuse prevention, and reliable site delivery. Depending on the dashboard view, this may include requested paths, timestamps, source IP addresses, countries or regions, browser and device categories, user agents, referrers, response status, and security actions. Cloudflare may also use strictly necessary cookies, network identifiers, or similar technical mechanisms depending on the service and circumstances involved.

Poll voting

The Clyde Foods poll does not rely on a browser cookie to enforce one vote per IP address. The server converts the visitor's IP address into a keyed cryptographic hash and stores that poll-specific hash with the vote. See the Privacy Policy for details.

What we do not currently use

  • Advertising cookies.
  • Retargeting or cross-site advertising pixels.
  • Google Analytics.
  • Meta Pixel.
  • Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar behavioral-session tools.
  • Third-party embedded advertising technology.

If that changes, this policy and the site's notice will be updated, and Clyde Foods will add any consent controls required by applicable law.

How to control browser storage

You can delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. If you clear the Clyde Foods notice preference, the notice may appear again on your next visit.

Blocking strictly necessary security technology may prevent some websites or security features from functioning correctly.
