The Clyde Foods Mobile Restaurant
Built new. Built the same.
A Clyde Foods location begins with a new 20-foot commercial step-van mobile restaurant built to the current Clyde Foods operating standard. The platform, kitchen layout, major equipment, technology, service flow, and exterior presentation are standardized so every owner starts with the same basic machine.
The Platform
What the truck is.
The Kitchen
A real commercial kitchen on wheels.
The working kitchen package is designed around the Clyde Burgers operating model. Final equipment can evolve with the menu, but the current planning package includes:
Planning Cost
What it takes to put one on the road.
These are Clyde Foods planning estimates for a standardized new truck. They are not a quote and will move with vehicle, equipment, freight, and regulatory costs.
Planning range including 9% estimated tax: approximately $207,100–$228,900. Working target: $218,000.
*Tax note: 9% is a planning assumption only. Actual sales/use tax, taxable basis, exemptions, registration-related taxes, and local rates vary by location.
Optional Clyde XL + Bed / Bath ≈ $287,760 incl. est. tax*
Long-Haul Clyde
More truck. Bedroom. Bathroom. Same kitchen standard.
Clyde XL replaces the standard 20' Ford F-59 platform with a 26' Freightliner M2 extended-cab sleeper platform. The sleeper provides a dedicated bed behind the cab, while the longer commercial body creates room for an enclosed restroom without reducing the Clyde Burgers kitchen below the standard truck.
26' Freightliner M2
- Extended-cab sleeper platform
- 26' commercial body
- Six feet longer than standard
- $139,000 base platform
- +$42,000 vs. Ford F-59
Sleeper
- Full-width bunk / mattress
- Overhead cabinets
- Charging
- Reading light
- Curtain or hard divider
4' Restroom Module
- Toilet
- Small hand sink
- Mirror / storage
- Ventilation
- Dedicated water heater
- Dedicated black tank
Full Clyde Kitchen Preserved
- Approximately 22' remains after restroom zone
- More kitchen/support length than the standard 20' truck
- Standard Clyde Burgers equipment package retained
- Same service and food-safety standards
Clyde Burgers XL planning cost
The 26' body adds six feet over the standard truck. A compact enclosed restroom can occupy roughly four feet of body length, leaving approximately 22 feet for kitchen and support space—still more commercial-body length than the standard 20' Clyde truck.
*Tax note: The 9% planning allowance is recalculated on the entire XL subtotal. Actual sales/use tax, taxable basis, exemptions, registration-related taxes, and local rates vary by location.
Not Included Here
The truck is only one part of opening.
This page prices the mobile restaurant itself. A full Clyde Foods ownership model would separately account for any franchise or license fee, initial food inventory, permits, insurance, deposits, opening payroll, training, and working capital.
Those numbers will be added to the ownership economics only when they can be presented realistically.
